What the licence fee is

The licence fee is a one-time payment for the use of the platform’s technical resources to publish information about an upcoming tournament.

The organiser pays it when creating the tournament. It is not an entry fee: the platform charges nothing to athletes or coaches.

The payment belongs to that tournament and cannot be transferred to another one.

What the licence includes

• •Registration of up to and including 60 participants.
• •Any number of categories, tatami and judges.
• •Draws, single-elimination brackets and round robin.
• •Tatami controllers, phone judge pages and hall displays.
• •Broadcasting to YouTube from a phone — without the overlay.
• •Fight logs, results and result e-mails to participants.
• •A public tournament page and a listing in the shared catalogue.

Broadcast with the overlay

The overlay is the score, timer and athlete names on top of the broadcast picture. It is paid for separately from the licence: 5 000 ₸ for a tournament in Kazakhstan and 10 € for a tournament elsewhere.

The payment is one-off and opens the overlay on every tatami of the tournament at once — both in the phone broadcast and in OBS.

Broadcasting without the overlay is included in the licence: a phone can go out to YouTube free of charge, with no score or timer on the picture. Hall displays always work, payment does not affect them.

Surcharge above 60 participants

If more than 60 participants are registered for the tournament, an additional invoice is issued when the organiser opens tournament administration.

All registered participants are counted, whether or not they showed up for the weigh-in.

Participants already paid for are never charged twice: every paid invoice raises the tournament’s paid limit, and the next invoice covers only the difference.

Example. 85 participants are registered for a tournament in Kazakhstan. The licence covers 60, so the surcharge is 25 × 250 ₸ = 6 250 ₸. If 10 more register later, the invoice is 2 500 ₸, not for all 35 participants.

How payment works

Payment is made by VISA or Mastercard through the PayLink.kz payment service.

Card details are entered on the payment service’s secure page. The platform neither receives nor stores them.

The currency follows the country where the tournament is held: tournaments in Kazakhstan are paid in tenge, all others in euro.

Prices include all applicable taxes — this is the final amount payable. The platform charges no additional fees; a transfer fee, if there is one, is set by the card issuing bank.

Access opens immediately after a successful payment, and a confirmation with the amount and payment number is sent to the organiser by e-mail.

Refunds

The licence fee is non-refundable once the service has been rendered — that is, once the tournament information has been published and access to the platform’s technical resources has been granted.

A refund is issued if the payment was made in error or charged twice, or if the platform was technically unable to provide the paid functionality.

Refund requests are sent to budo.asia@gmail.com with the payment date, the amount and the tournament name. Requests are reviewed and refunded within 10 business days.

The refund is returned to the same card the payment was made from.
