OPEN ALTYN ARYSTAN CUP Official Regulations Juniors, Youth, Adults and Veterans Kumite Division Date: September 27, 2026 Venue: Almaty, Kazakhstan 1. PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES The competition is organized to: • Promote health and physical, mental, and spiritual development; • Develop and popularize Kyokushin Karate in Kazakhstan and worldwide; • Improve the practical qualification level of referees; • Strengthen friendly relations among athletes representing different federations and organizations from Asia and around the world. 2. DATE AND VENUE Date: September 27, 2026 Venue: ADD Sport Complex, 14B Nurkent microdistrict, Alatau district, Almaty, Kazakhstan 3. ORGANIZATION AND OFFICIATING Overall organization and management of the tournament shall be carried out by Kazakhstan Branch Chief Sensei Andrey Vasilyukhin (4th Dan). The tournament is held with the support of IKF Kazakhstan. The Organizing Committee shall not be responsible for injuries or accidents occurring during the event. EVENT PROGRAM September 26, 2026 (Saturday) 11:00–18:00 – Registration of teams and competitors. 18:00–20:00 – Referees Seminar, formation of referee panels, meeting with team representatives. September 27, 2026 (Sunday) Competition Day. Fight schedule will be published after registration is completed. September 28–29, 2026 International Seminar conducted by Shihan Sergey Vsevolodov (8th Dan), President of IKF. September 30, 2026 Dan Test. October 1, 2026 Departure of participants. 5. PARTICIPANTS Athletes and teams representing any Kyokushin Karate organization may participate. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to reject any application. Required documents: • Official application form with medical clearance; • Passport or birth certificate; • Parental consent for minors or personal declaration for adults; • Valid insurance policy. All athletes and the team representative must be present during accreditation. 6. COMPETITOR EQUIPMENT Competitors must wear a white dogi and protective equipment according to current WKO rules. Ages 6–17: Helmet, shin and instep guards, groin protector, hand protectors. Girls must additionally wear chest protection not covering the solar plexus. Adults 18–33: Men – groin protector. Women – groin protector and chest protector. Veterans 34+: Shin and instep guards, groin protector, hand protectors, and chest protector for women. Competitors without required equipment will not be allowed to compete. 7. COMPETITION RULES Kumite competition shall be conducted under WKO Kyokushin Karate Rules using the knockout (Olympic) system. Team composition: • Unlimited number of competitors; • 2 referees; • 1 team representative. Weight Categories BOYS 6 years: -20, -25, -30, -35, +35 kg 7 years: -20, -25, -30, -35, +35 kg 8 years: -25, -30, -35, -40, +40 kg 9 years: -25, -30, -35, -40, +40 kg 10–11 years: -30, -35, -40, -45, +45 kg 12–13 years: -40, -45, -50, +50 kg 14–15 years: -50, -55, -60, -70, +70 kg 16–17 years: -55, -60, -65, -70, -80, +80 kg GIRLS 6 years: -20, -25, -30, +30 kg 7 years: -20, -25, -30, +30 kg 8 years: -25, -30, -35, +35 kg 9 years: -25, -30, -35, +35 kg 10–11 years: -30, -35, -40, +40 kg 12–13 years: -40, -45, -50, +50 kg 14–15 years: -45, -50, -55, +55 kg 16–17 years: -55, -60, -65, +65 kg MEN 18+ -65, -70, -80, +80 kg WOMEN 18+ -60, -65, +65 kg VETERANS 34+ Men: -80, +80 kg Women: -65, +65 kg Weight categories may be modified depending on the number of registered competitors. 8. BOUT REGULATIONS Ages 6–11: 1 min 30 sec + 1 min 30 sec + weighing + 1 min 30 sec. Weight difference: 3 kg. Ages 12–17: 2 min + 2 min + weighing + 2 min. Weight difference: 3 kg. Men 18+ Eliminations: 2 min + 2 min + weighing + 2 min. Semi-finals and Finals: 3 min + 2 min + weighing + 2 min. Weight difference: 5 kg (categories), 10 kg (absolute category). Women 18+ Eliminations: 2 min + 2 min + weighing + 2 min. Semi-finals and Finals: 3 min + 2 min + weighing + 2 min. Weight difference: 3 kg (categories), 5 kg (absolute category). Veterans 34+ 2 min + 2 min + weighing + 2 min. 9. CONDITIONS OF THE COMPETITION The competition shall be conducted according to the current WKO Rules. 10. AWARDS 1st Place: Trophy, Medal and Diploma. 2nd Place: Medal and Diploma. 3rd Place: Medal and Diploma. Two third places are awarded (no fight for third place). 11. FINANCING The organizers shall cover organizational expenses. Travel, accommodation and meal expenses shall be covered by the participating organizations. 12. SAFETY The Organizing Committee is responsible for spectator and participant safety. Team representatives are responsible for compliance with safety regulations, discipline and order within their teams. 13. APPLICATIONS Preliminary applications must be submitted by September 11, 2026. Referee Requirements: Each team must provide two referees. Referee Uniform: • Blue short-sleeve shirt; • White bow tie; • Dark trousers; • Personal whistle. Participation in the Referees Seminar is mandatory. After completion of the seminar, coaches and team representatives will receive special accreditation badges allowing access to the tatami area.
