  • Printable draw sheets

The Draws page now has two print buttons: a sheet for the selected category and sheets for every category that already has a draw. Each category prints on its own A4 page — a bracket, a round-robin table or the kata running order — with space at the bottom for the chief referee and the secretary to sign. The sheet prints as it stands: before the fights it works as a blank form, afterwards as a record of results with the winners marked.

  • A coach can change an entry category before the draw

In “My athletes” every tournament entry now has a “Change category” button: a coach moves their own athlete to another category of the same tournament as long as the draw for it has not been made. This helps when the weight changed shortly before the tournament and the old weight category no longer fits. Categories are split into those that match the athlete and the rest, and any of them can be chosen; the approved status is kept and the organizer receives an email about the move.

  • Athlete gender in the Excel template

The registration template now has a “Gender (M/F)” column — the last one, and optional: files downloaded earlier still upload as before. The gender keeps the import from putting a girl into a boys category: for an athlete who already has a profile it is taken from the profile card, and for a new one from this column. A row whose gender does not fit the category is now rejected with an explanation instead of loading silently.

  • Import recognises a category named in another language

The category name used to be compared literally, so a file in Cyrillic could not find a category the tournament had written in Latin. Now the name is parsed by its numbers — age, weight and the weight bound — so «Мальчики до 30 кг (10–12)» and «Boys under 30 kg (10–12)» count as one category. If a name fits several categories at once, the import lists them and asks you to be specific instead of taking the first one.

  • Changing a category checks the gender on the profile card

The category replacement list for a participant now shows the categories that fit the gender on the athlete profile card, not the gender of the category the participant ended up in. Previously a girl who had accidentally landed in a boys category was offered boys categories only, and there was no way to move her back. The hint with suitable categories for participants without one now works the same way.

  • Rest between fights on a tatami

The fight queue on a tatami now spreads out the appearances of one athlete by itself: the system tries to give them three fights of rest, and at least two when the tatami has too few categories. The order of fights inside a category and their printed numbers do not change — only the categories are interleaved with each other. When there was no way to give a rest, the fight is marked “little rest” in the tatami controller queue: the referee decides whether to call it or take a break.

  • Finals of all categories at the end

A “Finals of all categories at the end” checkbox has appeared on the “Controllers” page. With it a tatami first runs the first rounds of all its categories, then the quarterfinals and the semifinals, and the finals gather into one block at the end of the day — athletes get noticeably more rest. It is off by default: with this order the first category waits for its awards until the end of the day, and that call belongs to the organiser.

  • Seeding top belts in the draw

A “Seed top belts” checkbox has appeared on the draws page, next to the third-place settings. With it the highest-graded athletes go into different halves of the bracket: the top two can only meet in the final, the next two no earlier than the semifinal. It is on by default, works for both kumite and kata, and is chosen before a category is drawn — it does not change a bracket that already exists.

  • Results are protected when a draw is re-created

If a category already has judged fights or awarded places, re-creating the draw now asks again and names exactly how many results would be erased — previously it erased them silently. The «Generate all» button gives that warning once, before it starts. A category that still holds entries can no longer be deleted: the page shows how many athletes are in it, and they are moved to another category or withdrawn from the tournament first.

  • Third place bout

Two checkboxes have been added to the category settings on the draws page. “Third place bout” puts a separate fight between the two semifinal losers into the bracket — it runs before the final and shows up in the draw, on the public tournament page, in the tatami queue and in the protocol. “Two bronzes” decides what happens without such a fight: either both semifinal losers take third place, or third place is not awarded at all. Neither option has a fourth place.

  • Changing the winner without re-running the fight

If the wrong athlete was announced as the winner, the decision can now be changed in one step: the fight score stays as it is, and later fights the previous winner had advanced to are cancelled and returned to the queue automatically. On the floor the «⇄ Change winner» button is available to the referee and on the tatami controller until the next fight is called; after that it becomes an appeal, handled by the organiser in the «Fight log», inside the fight card. The log also shows which results were revised and who the winner was before, and that mark goes into the exported protocol.

  • Repeating the call from the judge screen

If a fighter has not come out, the referee taps «🔊 Repeat call» on their screen and the announcement for the current bout plays in the hall again. The button sits at the bottom of the judge page next to «Cancel call». The hall screen and the tatami controller do the talking, so the sound comes from the hall speakers, not from the referee’s phone.

  • A second overtime round

If the first overtime does not produce a winner, the referee starts a second round: the tatami controller now has an «Overtime 2» button, with «Cancel OT2» beside it in case the round was opened by mistake. The score of the second round starts from zero and never mixes with the first — the hall scoreboards, the broadcast overlay and the judge page on the phone all show it. In the fight log the rounds stand apart, both the points and the time (for example, 3:00 + 1:00 + 1:00).

  • Overtime is visible on the scoreboards and in the broadcast

Overtime used to be visible only on the controller: the hall and the broadcast audience saw the score reset to zero without knowing why. Now, while overtime is running, an amber «Overtime» badge sits next to the fight status — on the tatami scoreboard, on the summary scoreboard and in the OBS overlay — and the phone broadcast plate reads OVERTIME instead of ROUND 1. The score follows suit: while overtime runs, every screen shows the overtime points, not those of the main fight.

  • Continuous fight numbering within a category

Numbers used to restart in every round, so the first quarterfinal and the final were both «Fight #1». Now the fights of a category are numbered in a row — the first fight is first, the final is last — and the same number appears everywhere: on the hall scoreboards, in the broadcast overlay, on the controller, on the judge page, in the fight log, in the draw and in the athlete cabinet. Byes take no numbers, so the log has no gaps.

  • Ready-made categories: sets and the reference list

The “Settings → Categories” page now has a “Templates” button: you can add a whole set for a martial art at once — Kyokushin, WKF karate or judo — or pick single categories from the shared reference list with a search box. Categories you already have are marked as such: the platform compares gender, age and weight rather than names, so a duplicate is visible even when your own category is named differently. The name of a new category is built automatically in the language of the page, and when the “International tournament” switch is on in the tournament settings — in English, exactly as for categories created by hand.

  • Demo tournament: the platform on ready-made data

The home page and the pricing page now carry a “Try the demo” button: a practice tournament with ready-made categories and participants is created inside your account. Spread the categories across the tatami, build the brackets, run the fights from the judging console and look at the results — everything works as it does at a real tournament. The demo stays available for 12 hours, after which the tournament and everything created inside it is deleted; your real tournaments are not affected.

28 sierpnia 2026

  • Broadcast with the overlay is a separate option

The score, timer and athlete names on top of the broadcast picture are now a separate paid option: one payment covering every tatami of the tournament, with the amounts listed on the pricing page. Broadcasting without the overlay stays inside the licence, and the hall displays work as before. Until card payment is switched on, the overlay is available to every tournament free of charge.

20 sierpnia 2026

  • Tournaments close themselves and participants get their results

The tournament status used to be switched by hand. Now the tournament moves to “Completed” on its own the night after its end date, and every participant receives an email with the place they took in their category. Finish the tournament earlier with the button and the emails go out right away.

  • A filter in the category list

The tournament settings page now has a search by name plus filters by gender, age group and weight. The options are built from the tournament’s own categories, so a filter never returns nothing, and lists with nothing to choose from are hidden. While a filter is on, the subheading shows “N of M shown” next to a reset button.

  • Video guide “Tournament management features”

A six-minute tour of what an organizer does with a tournament once it exists: participants, brackets, venue screens and the live stream. The video is recorded in Russian and in English, with a language switch under the player. It appears in the video guide showcase and on the four documentation pages it belongs to.

19 sierpnia 2026

  • Venue screens in three languages

The tatami board, the tournament summary screen and the stream overlay are shown in Russian, English or Kazakh. The language is picked once in the “Screens” section and applies to every link at once; in English, athlete names and category names are transliterated automatically. A single screen can be overridden with the ?lang parameter in its link.

  • The voice announcement language is its own setting

Athletes used to be called in whatever language the screen was set to. Now the announcement language is configured separately, in the same “Screens” section: Russian only, English only, or both in turn — one phrase after the other. Kazakh is not offered: browsers ship no Kazakh voice, so the announcement would come out garbled.

  • A separate bout duration for semi-finals and finals

Category settings now take a separate bout duration for semi-finals and finals — both the regular time and the overtime — alongside the usual one. The tatami console and the judge’s page apply it automatically based on the stage of the current bout, so the judge switches nothing by hand. Leave the fields empty and the category’s usual duration is used throughout.

  • A “Video guides” section

The documentation now has a showcase of the videos, split by role: organizer, coach, athlete. The players are embedded in the documentation pages themselves — a click starts the video, with no trip to YouTube. Where a video exists in two languages, a RU/EN switch sits underneath it.
